Welcome to the Haverhill Schools Initiative website
(or HSI for short). HSI works in the schools of Haverhill and
Clare bringing a Christian perspective to lessons, assemblies
and groups. Please feel free to look at our website to find out
more about us and some of the initiatives and activities we are
involved in.
First of all, meet the HSI workers:
Beckie Pickering (Full time HSI director)
Hi, I'm Beckie and I work for HSI, I
have been here since October 2006. I have a BA Hons in Theology
at Cliff College, completed at London Schools of Theology and
am now studying part time for an MA in Emerging Church. I have
been involved in youth work since I was 16 and have done many
camps and worked with the Youth Minister at Purley Baptist Church
for a year.
Diana André (Part time worker)
Hi, I'm Diana and I've been working for
HSI since May 2007. I moved to Haverhill from North London in
March 2007. Prior to having my little girl in Sept 2005 I worked
as a family centre officer with young children. I also spent many
years working in a Primary school in North London. I have been
involved in youth and children's work for many years through both
church and professionally. I am enjoying the challenge of working
with HSI and love seeing what God has in store for the youth of
Haverhill.
